Sure Shot Ways To Relieve Stress!

Article by Akhil Shahani

Attempting to balance your personal, professional and social life often serves to create more and more stress. With no respite in sight, one is left wondering about the best ways to relieve stress. There are many ways to do so, but making a choice depends on your personality, interests and preferences. Let’s make a beginning by asking the following questions:

• What brings happiness and excitement in your life?• What are you confident about?• What is your ambition?

Answering the above truthfully will help you focus on the things that really matter to you. Make sure that you take time out of your schedule to engage in activities that bring you personal happiness. Pick up that sport you gave up after college, spend time with the family, or just make time for yourself. Recharging after a hard work week is one of the best ways to relieve stress.

Right, now that we’ve got your weekends settled, let’s look at some popular stress busting attitudes that can be practiced all the time.Keep a cool mind. Take reasonable breaks at work to just “cool off”. You could play some soft music, dream up pleasant images, or take measured, deep breaths. You’ll be amazed at how good you feel once the pressure eases.Learn from your mistakes. To use a tired cliché, nobody’s perfect. So stop blaming your self endlessly for inconsequential things, but learn from the mistakes that you can do without! Once you get on top of a bad habit or weakness, it no longer is a cause for stress.

Feel good about yourself. It’s OK to give yourself the occasional pat on the back. Most stressed out people cause their own condition by making unusually hard demands on themselves. Learn to ease off, and recognize yourself for what you’re worth. If you don’t have a clue how to go about employing this tactic, try the “Feel good about yourself” program from http://www.hypnosisdownloads.com.

Think positive. Another cliché! Meet every crisis as a challenge to be beaten. Approach a stressful situation with a positive attitude. Even during a conflict, empathize with others. These behaviors will give you a different perspective of the situation, and reduce the stressors to a great extent. Recall joyful moments. One of the best ways to relieve stress is to remember the moments that have brought happiness to your life. Do it till that smile finally appears on your face.

Leave work problems at work. At the end of the day, slowly shift your focus from work to home. Do not carry your work related burden home. Try and focus on what you’ll do for the rest of the evening.

Round up your day well. Before going to bed, ask yourself the following:• What are the good things you did today? • Where were you wrong?• What did you learn today? • How can you use today’s learning in the future?

Close your day on a high note and be
