Seroquel Generic Quentiapine Relieves Anxiety and Depression

Quetiapine blocks receptors of dopamine [involved with voluntary movement-sleep-moods-reward and punishment-memory-attention-motivation] and serotonin [involved with moods-sleep-muscle contraction-appetite-memory-learning] in the body. It is able to regulate the chemical functioning of the brain in a beneficial manner by blocking these neurotransmitters [both of which are associated with moods-sleep-memory].

When you visit the psychiatrist for a consultation, give details of your medical history, particularly mentioning if you have any ailment of the heart/liver/kidneys, if you have had a heart attack/stroke, if you suffer from seizures/epilepsy, if you have a personal/family history of diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol/triglyceride levels, any thyroid disorder, or low white blood cells. Let the doctor know if you have any allergies and give a list of all the medicines you take, including prescription-OTC-nutritional supplements-herbal products, so that the doctor can rule out the medicines that won?t work well with Seroquel. Medicines that cannot be taken with Quetiapine include: other antipsychotic drugs, antidepressants, steroids, antibiotics, anti-fungal, medications to treat cardiac problems or hypertension, anti-seizure medicines, and drugs for tuberculosis.
Seroquel may bring some side effects.
